What is calorie?

In short, calorie equals energy. This energy is obtained by processing food.

The daily calorie requirement of a woman who does light work is approximately 2000, while for a man it is 2400 calories. For people who do heavy work, the daily requirement may increase up to 2000-3000 more calories. A human needs the most calories between the ages 12-18. The puberty is the period during which the most amount of energy is needed.
